"Ross Jackson Dobbins died Saturday, October 12, 2001 in Granbury. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bible Baptist Church in Coleman with Rev. Don Northway officiating. Burial will be in Coleman City Cemetery, directed by Walker Funeral Home.

"He was born April 18, 1916 in Cross Plains. He married Juanita Truell in 1937. She preceded him in death. He lived most of his life in Coleman County and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Coleman.

"Survivors include: four daughters - Barbara Gail Downs of Granbury, Vicki Lynn Baxter of San Angelo, Velma Sue Paggett of Coleman and Helen Lee Brown of Wichita Falls; four sons - David Ross Dobbins of Wichita Falls, Billy Jack Dobbins of Hebronville, Mark Dobbins of Conroe and Duane Dobbins of Glen Cove; a sister - Maudie Kelly of Coleman; a brother - Leslie Dobbins of Coleman; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild."
