She was a native of Sardis, GA, but she lived most of her life in Waycross. Prior to retiring from the American Cancer Society, Hazel was also employed by the American Red Cross and Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Waycross Bible Students.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Dudley Rogers and Annie Louise Clemens Rogers; and her husband, Joseph Benjamin Cason, Jr.
Survivors include three children, Ben Cason (Susan) of Waycross, Susan Anne Cason of Norfolk, VA, and Mary Lee Cason of Winter Park, FL; “adopted” daughter, Charlene Underwood; one sister, Marjorie Towery of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday (December 22, 2019) at Music Funeral Home. Memorialization is by cremation. Her remains will be buried in Lott Cemetery at a later date.
