THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Jan. 22, 1996, p.5A. 'Edwin Arcy Landers, 92, Rt. 1, Lake Creek, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 1996, in St. Joseph's Hospital & Health Center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Adams Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Deport by Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Landers was born Oct. 21, 1903, in Lonsdale, AR, a son of Allison Templeton and Martha Hanna Orr Landers. He was a charter member of East Paris Baptist Church and had been attending the Pacio Baptist Church. He was a dealer in second-hand merchandise and had served in the Army. He married Johnnie Katherine Hudson who preceded him in death April 1, 1939. He married Mae Lorene Dawson Jan. 1, 1941. She died June 23, 1984. Surviving are two sons, Joe Edwin Landers of Dallas and Johnny Landers of Kingwood; two daughters, Phyllis Painter of Lake Creek and Betty Jackson of Garland; a brother, Wendel B. Landers of Dallas; a sister, Essie Rosson of Detroit; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.'
