Joe Edwin Landers, 74, of Quinlan passed away Dec. 4, 2013, in Dallas.

He was born March 30, 1939, in Paris, Texas, to Edwin and Katherine Landers.

Joe proudly served our country in the United States Navy. He was retired from the DFW Airport Board and the City of Dallas.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Patsy Landers; children Robert Landers of Quinlan, Cindy Barth and husband David of Garland, Cathy Rinkus and husband Jeff of Wills Point, and Cheryl Lemons of Quinlan; grandchildren Justin Landers, Lisa Dennis, Amber Foreman, Matthew Baker, Amber Zapien, Jared Baker, Brian Woodson, Katrina Glenn, April Lemons, Heath Lemons, and Lance Shipman; great-grandchildren Kahl Landers, Zoe Zapien, Ashlyn Glenn, Madison Terry, and Kyndall Lemons; sister Betty Jackson of Garland; and sister-in-law Brenda Landers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Johnny and Charles Landers and sister Phyllis Painter.

There will be a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday and visitation one hour prior to the service in the Lynch Funeral Service chapel in Greenville. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
