Obit: James Willard Burks passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the age of 78 at his residence in Sanger, Texas.He was born on August 6, 1934 in Gainesville, Texas to James Franklin "Jim" and Charlsie (Pierson) Burks.He attended school in Valley View and was a member of the North Texas Trinity Cowboy Church.He worked on the maintenance crew at Denton Regional Medical Center until his retirement in 1999 and then worked for an air-conditioning company in Gainesville.On December 28, 2001, he married Carolyn Joyce Gray in Sanger, Texas.
The family has set visitation for Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Coker Funeral Home, 403 Pecan Street, Sanger, Texas.A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Valley View Cemetery in Valley View, Texas.
His survivors include his wife, daughter, Step-daughter, sons, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, Step-Son-In-Law, Sister, brother, and twelve grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny Burks; and step-daughter, Carla Webb.
