Funeral services fo rElmer Bergland of Lake Mills will he held 1:30 Thursday afternoon at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills. The Rev. DuWayne Dalen will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Memorial Cemetery in Lake Mills.
Bergland, 95, died Oct. 7, 1990, at Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea.
Elmer Oliver Bergland was born Sept. 2. 1895, near Lake Mills. He was the first president of the Winnebago Cooperative Telephone Association which was established in January 1950.
Survivors include his Wife, Jean¬ette of Lake Mills; three daughters, Mrs. Marion (Elaine) Ingebritson of Lake Mills, Mrs. Ervin (Lorraine) Wangness of Calmar and Mrs. Robert (JoAnn) Nelson of San Deigo. Calif.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Merle (Darlene) Engebretson and Mrs. Cleo (Gloria) Langfald, both of Scarville, and Mrs. Norman (Ione) Nelson of Forest City; a son, Gary Bergland of Glen Ellyn, Ill; a step-son, Marvin Johnson of Savage. Minn. a sister. Ida Ness of Lake Mills; and a brother, Walter of Lake Mills.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Ada. five brothers and three sisters.
