Funeral services for Mrs. Ella C. Dybvad, 91, of Masn City were held Saturday, January 26, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kensett. She died on Wednesday, January 23, 1985, at the White House Nursing Home in Osage.

The Rev. Harry Peterson officiated at the service with burial in the Kensett Cemetery. The family requests memorials to be made to Bethany Lutheran Church.

She was born on December 4, 1893 in Winnebago county, Iowa, to Carl and Ingeborg Robole Bergland. She attended rural Winngebago County schools and married Andrew Dybvad on March 12, 1918 in Winnebago county.

After their marriage they farmed in Winneshiek, Howard and Mitchell Counties prior to moving east of Kensett where they farmed for 30 years. They moved to Mason City in 1971. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kensett.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Curtis.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Willard (Evelynne) Koch of Osage and Mrs. John (Arlys) Kruse of Mason City; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Ida Ness of Lake Mills and two brothers, Elmer and Walter Bergland both of Lake Mills.
