Impressive funeral services were held in the Upalco ward hall Monday at 12:00 o'clock for Dora Lloyd Knight, who died suddenly at her home in Salt Lake City Thursday evening of thyroid ailment. Services were conducted by Bishop Oscar Nelson and speakers were Bishop Bernard Winkler of Bluebell. Karl Lemon of Ioka, David Richardson of Salt Lake City and E. L. Murphy. Musical numbers were furnished by Garrett Stone, Reed Lyons and a ladies quartet from Mt. Home and Boneta. Interment took place in the Upalco cemetery where E. B. Murphy dedicated the grave. Mrs. Knight was born April 4, 1906 at Panguitch, Utah, the daughter of Wm. And Christine Jacobson Lloyd and when nine years old came to Upalco with her parents where she made her home until about five years ago. She was a graduate of the Roosevelt high school and the B.Y.U of Provo, and taught school for eleven years, most of the time in Upalco. She was an active church worker. In June 1938 she married Arthur Knight. She is survived by her husband, infant daughter and parents, all of Salt Lake City, and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Etta Crosby of Mt. Emmons, Mrs. Pearl Mitchell and Wm. Lloyd Jr. of Upalco, Otto and James Lloyd of Ioka and Lamond Lloyd of Salt Lake City.
