Amelia Argaón passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness at Willow Creek Convalescent Hospital in Clovis, CA, she was 88 years old.

Amelia was preceded in death by her husband, Joe and two daughters, Mary Louise and Mary Lorraine.

Amelia is survived by eight children, a daughter, Vila Staub and her husband, Frank of Clovis, CA, Gilbert and his wife, Donna of Albuquerque, NM, Gene of Richmond, CA, Arthur of Clovis, CA, Leonard of Danville, CA and Anthony of Peña Blanca, NM, two sisters, Romie Quintana of Peña Blanca, NM and Lala Martínez of Porterville, CA. Amelia was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2001 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peña Blanca, NM. Mass of the Resurrection will be on Friday, August 17, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peña Blanca, NM. Interment to follow in Peña Blanca Cemetery.
