Erlinda was born in Peña Blanca, New Mexico to Abran Baca and Lucia C de Baca.
Erlinda has twelve brothers and sisters and is survived by Bertille Baca and Perciliana C de Baca, both of Albuquerque. Erlinda is also survived by many, many caring and loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Erlinda was a school teacher for forty years and she loved teaching and all her school children. Erlinda taught in San Illefonso, Cedar Grove, Golden and for the last 32 years in Bernalillo, NM.
After retiring, Erlinda volunteered for the Church of Risen Savior for many years. Erlinda was a role model to the very end of her life and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Rosary and Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 in Peña Blanca at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Friends may visit Erlinda from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011 at French-Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peña Blanca, PO Box 1270, Peña Blanca, NM 87041.
