Imogene Ruth (Wyatt) Galloway, 86, of Effingham, passed away at 7:15 a.m., on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at the Lakeland Healthcare Center in Effingham.

Imogene was born on October 23, 1924, in Effingham County, to Hedden Lewis and Eunice N. (Pointer) Wyatt. On December 26, 1940, she was married to Walter John Galloway in Kentucky. He preceded her in death in December of 1998.

She was later married to Wiley H. Galloway on April 11, 1999 in Altamont; he preceded her in death in December of 2008.
Imogene was a homemaker and a member of Headyville Christian Church.

Imogene is survived by her son, Garland Galloway and wife Kay of Farina; her daughters, Mary Dasenbrook and husband Kenneth of Effingham and Virginia Ondov and husband ted of Ingram, Texas; her brother, Jim Wyatt and wife Chris of Ingraham and by two step-daughters, nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and four sister-in-laws.

Preceding Imogene in death were her first husband Walter, her second husband, Wiley, her parents, her brother, John William Wyatt; her sister, Maxine Alcoke, one stepson and one great-grandchild.

Services for Imogene will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Headyville Christian Church. There will be a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at the Neal Funeral Home in Louisville and another from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the Headyville Christian Church on Wednesday morning. Carroll Ross and Wayne Tate will be officiating the services. Interment will be at the Headyville Cemetery in rural Dietrich. Memorials may be made to the donors' choice. All arrangements are by the Neal Funeral home of Louisville.
