"Funeral services will be held at Gaston Chapel AME Church, of which she was a member. Rev. W.A. Page will conduct the rites.
"In addition to her husband she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Stella Avery, two brothers, Lester Baker of Detroit and Zennie Baker of Morganton, and one grandchild."
Burial was listed as being in "Family Cemetery" and Ebony Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The burial took place on the 9th of June, 1961.
