Robert E. Becker, 60 of 30 Gaylord St. went to be with the Lord Friday, December 16, 1988 at Binghamton General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Jean M. (Heinle) Becker; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Judy Anne Becker, [living daugher's name redacted], Barbara Jean Becker, all of Binghamton, [living daughter's name redacted], Sterling, Va.; five grandchildren [names redacted]; two sisters and brothers-in-law, [names redacted], all of Binghamton; also several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, retired from IBM Corp. and a member of its Quarter Century Club, trustee of Fairview United Methodist Church, past master of Round Hill Masonic Lodge #533, past most wise master and consistory, past patron and grand lecturer of Eastern Star, member of Kalurah Shrine, past drill instructor of mini patrol.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Fairview United Methodist Church, 254 Robinson St., Binghamton with Pastor John Goodell officiating. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home Inc., 137 Robinson St., Binghamton. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Building Fund of Fairview United Methodist Church, Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital, c/o of Kalurah Temple, 177 Murray St., Binghamton or Muscular Dystrophy Assoc., 33 W. State St., Binghamton. Masonic funeral services will be held Saturday evening at 8:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
