Jean (Maudie) Becker, 80, of Binghamton, passed away February 4, 2008 at home with her loving daughters at her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Becker; her brothers, John and Robert Heinle; and nephew, James Heinle. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Becker, [name of living relative redacted], Barbara Becker, all of Binghamton, N.Y.; [name redacted] and her husband, [redacted], Sterling, Va.; grandchildren, [names redacted], all of Binghamton, [names redacted], Sterling, Va.; great-grandsons, [names redacted] Binghamton, N.Y.; brother, [redacted], Kirkwood, N.Y.; sister-in-law, [redacted], Binghamton, N.Y.; many nieces, nephews, and treasured friends. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. Jean graduated from Binghamton City Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of Eastern Star Round Hill Chapter #104, and Daughter of Nile. The family would like to thank all of the staff on Ross 1 Lourdes Hospital, and Lourdes Hospice for their wonderful care. Also to all the many family and friends who have supported her the last couple of weeks.
The Funeral Service will be held at Fairview United Methodist Church, 254 Robinson Street, Binghamton, N.Y. at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7th, 2009. The Rev. Cordella J. Brown will officiate the service. The family will receive family and friends on Friday, February 6th, 2009, from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Lourdes Hospice Program at Lourdes Hospital, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905; or Fairview United Methodist Memorial Fund, 254 Robinson Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13904.
