Phillipine Nadeau Dies At Age 80
Mrs. Phillipine Nadeau, 80, died at 5 a.m. yesterday at the Carr Nursing Home, East St. Louis, where she was a resident since 1954.
She was born in St. Clair County in 1878 a daughter of the late Henry and Barbara Ruhmann, nee Wagner. Her mother was born in Belleville, her father in Germany [sic].
She was preceded in death by her husband, Batise Nadeau, and a son.
Surviving are two brothers, Louis Ruhmann,616 Bernard Drive, and Helmut W. Ruhmann, Old Soldiers Home at Washington, D.C., a sister, Mrs. Mollie Nadeau, Carr Nursing Home; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Arthur Ruhmann, 616 Bernard Drive.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Kurrus Chapel, East St. Louis, to Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. E.R. Maul will officiate.
