Marion Calvin Waldrop, 82, of Inman, SC, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2011.

Son of the late John Calvin Waldrop and Katie Lee (Kirk) Waldrop (1904-1973); husband of Ruth (Johnson) Waldrop for 67 years.

A member of the Inman Mills Baptist Church and a Veteran of the United States Army.

Survived by his sons, Donald Ray Waldrop, William Carrol Waldrop (Kerry), Kevin Greene, Brian Greene, and Justin Comer; sisters, Betty McKelvey, Joyce Webb, Josephine Fleming, and Ila Chesney; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Dean Hammett.

Predeceased by a daughter, Janice Ruth Waldrop (1953-1959); son, James Calvin "JC" Waldrop (1946-1946).

Services held Friday, September 2, 2011, at the Inman Mills Baptist Church with Pastor Jack E. Hames officiating. Private family entombment was at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman.

The family received friends at the church prior to the service.
