MRS. PAUL YOUNG
Isabelle J. Dey was born November 12, 1849, in Washington county, Iowa, and died at Humeston, Iowa, March 10, 1912, aged sixty-two years, three months and twenty-nine days.
She was married April 4, 1871, to Paul Young in Lucas county, Iowa. To this union one son, Charles W., was born, who with the father survive the wife and mother. The deceased also leaves three brothers, John B., C. W., and William M. Dey, and two sisters, Mrs. H. L. Brogard and Miss Roselda Dey, to mourn her taking away. Mrs. Brogard, who lived in Toronto, Kansas, was unable to attend the funeral on account of sickness.
The subject of this sketch was converted in 1870 and joined the Methodist Episcopal church, in which she has remained a faithful follower of the meek and lowly Christ, until it pleased the blessed Father to remove her to the church triumphant.
With her husband, she began married life on a farm near Seymour, in Wayne county, where they resided for two years, when they removed to a farm near Humeston. Here they resided until they moved to town, where they have since resided.
The funeral was held from the Methodist Episcopal church on Wednesday at one o'clock p.m., conducted by the Rev. R. Burton Sheppard, pastor of the deceased, and the body was laid to rest in the Humeston cemetery.
