Mrs. Neva L. Duncan Wharton, 84, of 808 Gates Ave., widow of Harry R. Wharton and daughter of Abner Grandy and Mrs. Arkie Bell Duncan, died Monday at 11:30 a.m. in Norfolk Hospital.
Mrs. Wharton was a lifelong resident of Norfolk.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mabel W. Paul of Norfolk; three granddaughters, Mrs. Robert S. Noe and Miss Ann Paul of Norfolk and Mrs, Matthew M. Jackson of Lakewood, Calif.; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Miss Elsie M. Duncan and Miss Maye E. Duncan of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Edward H. Jones, D.D., of First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
