MABEL "MEME" MATTINGLY, 88, of Owensboro, died Friday, July 9, 1993, at the Medco Nursing Center. She was born in Daviess County and was the daughter of the late William and Alma Metcalf Green. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ignatius Mattingly, and by a daughter, Louise Mattingly. Survivors include a son, the Rev. Martin Mattingly of Earlington; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Jean) Yeand and Doris Durbin, both of Owensboro; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry Green, of Columbus, Ga.; and a sister, Elizabeth Shively of Owensboro; two nieces, Margaret Tyler and Dorothy Thompson, both of Owensboro, and a nephew, Tom Shively of Owensboro. Arrangements are pending at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home, Owensboro. Burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
