Esther's obit, 1925:
"Esther Teeter Williams, second daughter of Zachatiah (Zachariah) and Martha Teeter, was born near LaPorte on Sept. 11, 1850, and died on Feb. 19, this year, at the home of her son, Benson Williams, at the age of 74 years, 5 months and 8 days.
She became the wife of Benjamin Williams on April 5, 1868, who preceded her in death, March 1, 1895. To this union either children were born, seven of whom are still living. One son, Joseph, died in 1901.
The children who survive Mrs. Williams are Mrs. Orpha McDuffie, Mishawaka; Mrs. Ethel Lake, New Buffalo, Mich.; Mrs. Bertha Bull, Michigan City; the Rev. Monroe Williams, Vicksburg, Mich.; Mrs. Bessie Crawford, Michigan City; Benson Williams, Three Oaks, Mich., and John Williams, Three Oaks. One sister, Mrs. Martha Woodard, Lansing, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive in addition to many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Williams was converted in the Protestant Methodist Church more than 50 years ago. She joined the Free Methodist church 47 years ago, being one of the Bunker Hill class.
The house in which Mrs. Williams died was formerly a school house in which the Free Methodist meetings were first held in the Bunker Hill community. The building was later remodeled into a dwelling."
