Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Freeman Funeral Home here. The rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Carthage.
Mr. Clampitt was born near West Point on Jan. 25, 1892, a son of Bud and Mamie Newell Clampitt. He married Edna Laffey in 1915. She died in 1967.
A retired farmer, Mr. Clampitt was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in West Point.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Mildred) Williams of Augusta; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Laffey of Morton, Ill.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Hoffman in January, 1975, a sister and two brothers.
