Great Uncle George Ray Reece was born on May 30, 1911, in Onia, Arkansas to Joseph Lee (Joe) and Sarah Ann Mann Reece. He had nine brothers and eight sisters. George married Effie Isaacs after 1930. She had one son before their marriage. (As a side note, Effie was my mother, Cora Baker Reece's school teacher!!)
In 1920, George lives in Big Flat, Arkansas with his parents and five siblings. He is nine years old and attending school. In 1930, George is living with his parents and three siblings. He is a non paid family farm worker.
George's WWII draft card states that he is 5 feet 11 inches and weighs 152 pounds. He has blue eyes, brown hair and light complexion.
Uncle George passed on June 13, 1975 in Monterey, California at the age of 64. He is resting in the Big Flat cemetery in Big Flat, Arkansas. Effie is resting in Plant Cemetery Plant, Van Buren County, Arkansas, USA.
