Fred Reece was born on January 12, 1909, in Onia, Arkansas to Joseph Lee (Joe) and Sarah Ann Mann Reece. He had nine brothers and eight sisters.


The 1910 census lists Fred as a two year old living with his parents and six siblings in Big Flat, Arkansas. The 1920 census lists Fred living in Big Flat with his parents and five siblings. Fred in attending school and lives in a farm house. 1940, Fred in living with his sister, Berta and her family, in Big Flat. He has completed the 3rd grade. He earned $15.00 weekly working on the farm. But, he has been unemployed for 26 weeks. Fred never married.
Fred's WWII draft card states that he is 5 ft 10 inches and weighs 135 pounds. He has blue eyes, brown hair and has light complexion.

Great Uncle Fred passed on June 1, 1995, in Mountain View, Arkansas, at the age of 86. He is resting in the Big Flat Cemetery in Big Flat, Arkansas.
