Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 16, for Mrs. Mary Hughes Staggers, aged 44, wife of East Staggers, of Sugar Grove, Aleppo township, who died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, in the Greene County Memorial hospital. The rites will be held at 1 o'clock in the Staggers home with Rev. A. M. Riggs, of Wind Ridge officiating. Interment will be in the Sugar Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Staggers had been ill four months. A daughter of T. J. Hughes and Eliza Lewis Hughes, she was born May 5, 1889, in Aleppo township and spent all her life in that section. She was a member of the Church of God at Sugar Grove. Besides her husband she leaves one sister, Mrs. Olive Meighan, wife of Mark Meighan, of West Alexander.
