Hayden Townsend age 79, passed away August 4, 2011.

He was born July 11, 1932 to Eugene and Eunice Townsend in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Hayden served in the Air Force from 1951-1954.

He loved outdoors, growing trees, and his pets.

He loved children and especially loved his granddaughters; taking them to the park and watching them grow.

Hayden never met a stranger and was a delight to everyone who knew him and will forever be missed.

Hayden was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Townsend.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Townsend; daughters, Caroline Davis and husband Jimmy, Jessica Brown, Angela Campbell; son, Scott Campbell and wife Julie and their kids, Clay and Wesley Warren; son, Bart Townsend; granddaughters, Rachel Medford and husband Nick, and Holly Davis; great-grandsons, Jackson and Jordan Medford; brothers, Murrell, Garth, Keith, and Davis Townsend; sisters, Imogene Pugh and Garlene Thomas; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Hayden is also survived by his beloved dog, Princess.

Funeral service is 11:00 am Saturday, August 6, 2011 at New Life In Christ Lutheran Church, 311 S. Cockrell Hill Road in Duncanville.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be 10:30 am August 8, 2011 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, 2000 Mt. Creek Parkway.
