Agnes Reynard 1916 - 2005 Iola

Services for Agnes Reynard, 88, Iola, will be at 1 p.m. today at Hope Chapel Assembly of God, east of Moran. Burial will be in Toronto Cemetery.

Mrs. Reynard died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at Allen County Hospital in Iola.

She was born Dec. 25, 1916, in Chicago, the daughter of Elias and Mary Saar Daas. She lived in Toronto and Yates Center before she moved to Iola.

Mrs. Reynard worked at several clerical jobs and was a member of the Presbyterian Church and American Legion Auxiliary and a 4-H leader, all in Toronto. She married George Lewis Reynard on Sept. 26, 1941, in Chicago. He died Jan. 5, 1968. An infant daughter also died earlier.

Survivors include two daughters, Alice Williamson, Gas, and Lenora Brown, Lawrence; a sister, Sophie Fitzgerald, Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assn., sent in care of Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel, 16 N. Buckeye St., Iola, KS, 66749.
