Joe Roy Youngblood, Sr., 83, of Minden passed away May 31 at Meadowview Nursing Home following a long illness. He was a Methodist and a retired saw mill operator.
Services were held this morning in the Rose-Neath Chapel with the Rev. H B Ward and Rev. T W Barnes officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Crowell Youngblood of Minden; a son, Joe R. Youngblood Jr. of Gibsland; two daughters, Mrs. Roy W. Gandy of Winnfield and Mrs. Harold Turner of Minden; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Turner, Tommy Joe Gandy, Ken Royston, Larry Chandler, Charles Watson, and Jim Davis.
