Denver Hardwick, 77 years of age, departed this life on Friday, August 19th, 2011 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Denver was born in Bronston, Kentucky on September 5th, 1934, son of the late Johnie L. Hardwick and Hazel Branscum Hardwick.
Denver was a Korean War veteran, and a member of the Quinton Baptist Church in Pulaski County, Kentucky. He retired from the Pinkerton Detective Agency having attained the rank of Captain.
Denver was survived by two sons, Denver C. (and Teresa) Hardwick of Midland, Texas and Lynn Hardwick of Corydon, Indiana; one daughter, Della (and Greg) Reinbolt of Clarksville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Melissa Hardwick, Dakotah Reinbolt, Charlea Reinbolt, Amy Blankenship, and Kyann Hardwick; three great granchildren, Triston Blankenship, Samuel Blankenship and Isabella Blankenship; three step great grandchildren; two sisters; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
Denver was preceded in death by his parents, Johnie Hardwick, who departed this life on December 19th, 1990 and Hazel Hardwick, who departed this life on May 9th, 2003; and several sisters.
Visitations were held from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24th, 2011 at the Quinton Baptist Church in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24th, 2011 at the Quinton Baptist Church.
Burial followed in the Quinton Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
The American Legion Post No#38 conducted Military honors for Denver.
