He grew up in Henderson, where he graduated from Basic High School. He went on to received a BA in education from UNLV. He gave back to his community as a teacher in our local schools.
Although much of his career was spent in the casino industry, Anthony's passion was teaching. Anthony had a big heart and gave of himself openly and lovingly to family and friends. He will be missed.
He is survived by his mother, Bernice Turner; and siblings, Vester McGee, Larry McGee, Catherine Barber, Fred Turner, Ruby Johnson, Eileen Turner, Rachelle Rodgers, Darryl Turner, Debra Turner and Tricia Bell; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Evergreen Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington Ave. Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Park.
