Emma Jane Simon, daughrer of Frank C. and Anna Simon was born in Nemaha County, Kansas on September 24, 1893 and departed this life on April 16, 1951 at the age of 57 years at the Basham Hospital after a brief illiness.

She spent most of her life in Eureka and was well and favorably known. She was united in marriage to William Gulick at Holton, Kansas on July 1, 1911. They would have been married forty years this July 1.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior when a young woman in Carmen, Oklahoma and was buried with her Lord in baptism. She became a member of the First Christian Church March 6, 1912. She was considered a faithful member for almost forty years.

Mrs. Gulick always was a woman of friendliness and a good neighbor. She was a true and faithful wife in the home. Above all, she was one who walked by faith in the goodness of God.

She was one of ten children. She is survived by her husband of the home, a step daughter, Mrs. Lorena Ball. She also is survived by the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. C.O. Norris of Chico, California; Mrs. Delia L. Bell, Mr. Arthur Simon and Mr. Floyd Simon all of Corning, California; Mr. Lee Simon and Mr. Charles Simon of Westwood, California; Marie Thornton of Boise, Idaho. She was preceded in deaath by one brother, one sister and her father and mother. She also is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service was held from the Christian Church Friday April 20, at 2:00 p.m. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
