Jo Ann Bauknecht, 65, Barnsville, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1996 at Barnsville Hospital. She was born July 18, 1931 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Francis and Essie Cannon Misenhelder.

She was a member of the Church of Christ, Barnesville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Bauknecht; a daughter, Becky Shrader; three brothers, Jack, Charles and Francis "Gene" Misenhelder; a sister, Sally Williamson.

Surviving are two sons, John of Cumberland and Christopher of Dillonvale; two brothers, George Misenhelder of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Wayne Misenhelder of Martins Ferry; three sisters, Helen Goodwin of Martins Ferry, Wanda Griswold of Walnut Creek, Calif. and Clara Pritchard of Martins Ferry; four grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home, Bethesda, Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m., with Brother Dave Shively officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
