Was Widow Of Leonard Matheis, Sr., Dealer In Hardware
Mrs. Rosa Matheis, 1225 East Edwards street, for seventy years a resident of this city and widow of Leonard Matheis, Sr., hardware dealer, died at 4 o'clock yesterday morning in St. John's hospital following a week's illness. Decedent, who was 79 years old was born in Salisbury, coming to this city when a child.
Surviving are a daughter, Theresia, city; four sons, Leonard, Jr., Albert, and George, all of city, and Henry of Chicago; eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Decedent was a member of the Altar and Rosary society of Sacred Heart parish.
Remains taken to the O'Donnell and Staab Funeral Home, will be removed at 11 o'clock this morning to the residence, where services will be held at 8:30 o'clock tomorrow morning and at 9 o'clock at the Sacred Heart church. Rev. W. I. Quatman will officiate and interment will be made in Calvary cemetery.
