Johnny P. Vigil, age 76, beloved father, grandpa and brother, was called home to be with the Lord our Savior on Monday, December 23, 2002.
Johnny was a resident of Bernalillo and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, where he sometimes ushered. Johnny enjoyed listening and dancing to music.
Johnny is survived by his children, Roger Vigil, Harvey Vigil and his wife, Hope and Mia Lynn Vigil, six grandchildren, two brothers, Joe M. Vigil and Leroy Vigil and his wife, Fidelia, two sisters, Eufelia "Fela" Romero and her husband, John and Theresa "Terry" Vigil and Wilfred and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Johnny will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary form 6:00 p.m. until the time of the Rosary at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, following the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Algodones Community Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Rudy Vigil, Tommy Vigil, Leroy Vigil, Wilfred Estrada, Mackie Romero and Peter Vigil. Honorary bearers will be Leonard Vigil, Allen Vigil, Nathaniel Trujillo, Anthony Trujillo and Timo Ramírez.
