Two Killed By Cave-In

Great Falls--Charles Ackerly, 33 years old, a wealthy and prominent stockman of Stanford, was instantly killed by a cave-in in the Arrow Creek badlands, where he was working with George Swarthout, 25 years old, in a prospectors hole in a slide. Swarthout died a few hours after being rescued. Ackerly was completely buried and it is believed he was instantly killed. He was one of the best-known stockmen in the Judith basin region.
