He retired as canteen operator at Greenwood Mills and was a member of Calumet Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter and son-in-law; a son and daughter-in-law; three grandchildren; a stepgrandson; a sister; and six brothers.
Funeral services: Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at Calumet Baptist Church.
Burial: Liberty Memorial Gardens.
