He was born in Toledo, March 8, 1893, and had lived in Lima for 50 years. He was a retired switchman for the Nickel Plate Road. He retired in June, 1959, after 36 years service.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Chester Schiffer of Spencerville; one brother, C. M. Kersker of 1463 Stewart Rd.; two sisters, Mrs. Zula Casey of Saginaw, Mich., and Mrs. Mayme Grubb of Toledo; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kersker was a World War I veteran and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Chiles and Son Chapel with Rev. Paul Runk officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
