William Keith Bencini was born March 8, 1914 in Murphysboro to Edward L. and Maria (Stewart) Bencini. He was preceded in death by siblings, Edward "Doc" L. Bencini, Stewart Bencini, Rupert Bencini, Ruth Williams and Esther Bencini and his step-mother, Pauline Bencini.

He married Pauline Rose Sabella. She preceded him in death. His surviving children include Maria Bencini of Murphysboro; William Keith (Cheryl) Bencini of Dixon; and Joseph and David Andrew Bencini, both of Carbondale.

Mr. Bencini was a member of American Legion Post 127, VFW Post 7190 and the American Postal Workers Union. He was an Army veteran of World War II, was a Chrisitian, and was retired from the Postal Service.

He died at the age of 81 on Tuesday, January 23, 1996 in Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. His funeral service was held at Outreach Ministries Church. Rev. Bob Norris officiated. Memorials were to be made to the donor's choice.
