Abraham B. Thorson, 75, prominent Givens community farmer, passed away Sunday at 3 a.m. at his home after an illness of two weeks of complications.
He was born in _____, Norway and moved to Pike Co., 25 years ago from Minnesota. He was a member of a fine English Lutheran church in Minn.
Mr. Thorson is survived by his wife, Anna, five sons, Harold, Vernon, Archie, Robert and _____, a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Givens of Waverly, 16 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m.at Givens Chapel church. Rev. David Williams officiating. Interment will be in Mound Cemetery at Piketon under direction of Boyer funeral home. The body will be at the residence after 6 p.m. today.
