Lillian N. Lawson, 83, of Greenville died Monday morning at Smith Nursing Home in Wolfe City. There is a graveside service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Tidwell Cemetery with Rev. Robert Baldridge officiating.

The daughter of Robert A. Allen and Ruby Lee Hudgins Allen, he (sic) was born June 18, 1917 in Hopkins County. She married Chester Lawson in Greenville. Mrs. Lawson was a homemaker and was employed by Shirey's. She was a Baptist.

Surviving are a sister, Georgia Easley of Greenville; stepbrother W.F. 'Bill' Brown of Greenville; stepsister Daurine Farmer of Mount Pleasant and a half-sister, Pauline Green of Pickton.

She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
