OBITUARY
Charlene Ray "Chink" Buchanan, 82, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at Paris, Texas. She was born July 7, 1917.
Buchanan was a homemaker and had lived in Wright City since 1949. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and raising flowers. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Wright City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Nettie Ray; her husband, Jim Cecil "J.C." "Pug" Buchanan; a brother, R.B. Ray; and a daughter, Beverly Johnson.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Ray Buchanan, Poway, Calif.; two daughters, Teresa Tyler and Glenda Sue McRee, both of Valliant; a brother, Warren G. Ray, Muskogee; five grandchildren, Anita Gail Todd, Wright City, Jeff Johnson, Broken Bow, Tammy Studer, Escondito, Calif., Vance T. Tyler, Millerton, and Tyson Buchanan, Poway, Calif.; and nine great-grandchildren, Jay Lindy, Jon Lindy, Jennifer Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Cody Sutton, Corey Tyler, James Tyler, Brian Studer and Breeanne Studer.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church , Wright City, with the Rev. Gary Moody officiating.
A separate service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Wheelock Cemetery with Jesse Corcoran officiating. Burial will be in Wheelock Cemetery, Millerton.
