Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie King, 82, who died at 1 o’clock this morning at her home in Dallas will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock in the Methodist church at Whiterock. Mrs. King, a former resident of Whiterock, had made her home in Dallas for the past five years.
Rev. Fred Moore of Ardis Heights and Rev. Fred Ridley will officiate. Burial will be in the Tidwell cemetery.
The Gray-Ballard-Sorrells Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The body was to be carried to the home of her niece, Mrs. Joe Hefner, 2906 Silver street this afternoon.
A native of Collin county, Mrs. King was born August 25, 1866. Her parents were Jack Biggerstaff and Mary Holland Biggerstaff. She moved with her parents to the Whiterock community at an early age and spent most of her life there. Five years ago she moved to Dallas to make her home with her daughter, Miss Wilma G. King, 1221 Georgia Avenue. She was a member of Whiterock Methodist Church.
On Nov. 6, 1898 she was married to William A. King and to this union was born two children.
She is survived by her daughter, Miss Wilma G. King, Dallas; a sister, Mrs. M. E. Green, Stratford, Texas, a brother, Will Biggerstaff of Greenville, and other relatives, including a niece, Miss Gertie Hefner of this city. Her husband and a son, Matlee King, preceded her in death.
