George Eppers was born Nov. 20, 1848 in Kenosha County, Wisonsin. The son of Jacob & Amme(Karbunchieum) Eppers.

He married Anna Gratz on Nov 8, 1876 in Kenosha County Wisconsin.

Their first child, John George Eppers, was born on Aug 22, 1878 in Kenosha County Wisconsin. Their three other children were born in Ashton, Osceola County, Iowa: Mary Anne Eppers in 1882, Matthew G Eppers born in 1887 and died in 1889...he is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ashton. Their youngest child, Rose Gertrude Eulalae Eppers, was born in 1890.

In 1894, George Eppers and his family moved to Adrian, MN from Ashton, IA, and started a real estate business. He owned a considerable amount of farmlands in the vicinity and had his home on the corner of 6 th Avenue and Third Street. He would deal only on cash basis, and had almost bought 6,000 acres in Nobles and Murray Counties of Minnesota. Mr. Eppers induced many substantial farmers to locate permanently in Adrian. He headed the list of salesmen of Nobles County land.

Georg Eppers and James Cox, the two real estate dealers in Adrian consolidated on November, 1898. They wrote insurance, made loans, and sold land under te name of Eppers and Cox.

George, Anna & family later moved to Fergus County Montana after 1910.

(George's baptism record at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brighton, Wisconsin, says that he was born April 29, 1849, and baptized on May 28, 1849. (At that time the church was known as St. Patrick's. St. Patrick's was destroyed by a cyclone in 1883 and, when the new church was built, it was named St. Francis Xavier.)

The 1900 census of Adrian, Nobles County, Minnesota (page 8A, dwelling 111) shows George's birth month and year as April 1849 and his age as 51.

The marriage record at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paris, Wisconsin, says that George and Anna Gratz were married Nov. 8, 1877.)
