STRATFORD - Erick F. Erickson, 87, former Stratford resident, died Wednesday morning, March 27 at Gowrie Center where he had resided for the last seven years.
He was born Dec. 26, 1886 in Sweden the son of Mr. and Mrs. Erick Persson. He married Hulda Carolina Hanson at Stratford June 11, 1911. He was a farmer and blacksmith, was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the Acorn Lodge 601.
His wife, one daughter, parents and four brothers preceded him in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. William (Eveline) Jansz of Ojai, Cal., Mrs. Elvin (Myrna) Harrison of Harcourt and Mrs. Howard (Darlene) Hall of Dayton; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 30 at 2 p.m. at the Stratford Calvary United Methodist Church with Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Masonic graveside services will be held.
Friends may call at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Chapel in Stratford Friday from 2 till 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 till noon.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Stratford Calvary United Methodist church with the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating and with burial in the Oakwood cemetery. Friends may call at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral home in Stratford on Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon when the body will be taken to the church. There will be Masonic graveside services.
