Henry Scharpenberger (s/b Scharpenberg), a farmer living in the southeastern part of Adams township, died Tuesday morning at 6 o'clock of a complication of heart trouble and dropsy.

Mr Scharpenberger was seventy-seven years old and had lived in Adams township for many years.

The wife died about two years ago.

There are four children surviving—Mrs Charles Meyer and Mrs Herman Miller, both of Marion township; August Scharpenberger (s/b Scharpenberg), of Jefferson township, and Henry Scharpenberger (s/b Scharpenberg), who lives on the homestead.

The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the residence and at 2 o'clock from the Lutheran church in Marion township. Fort Wayne Journal Gazette - July 11, 1906
