Alex Dombrowski, 54 a lifelong resident of Portage county, died suddenly Tuesday morning at 11 o-clock at his farm home in the town of Plover. After suffering a stroke last June he was a patient at St. Michael's hospital for a month. Since returning to his home he had been able to be up and about. Tuesday morning he complained of not feeling well and was advised by his brother-in-law who resides with him to be down and rest, which he did. He was found dead an hour later by Mr. Ropella.
Mr. Dombrowski was born at Nelsonville, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Dombrowski. He spent his childhood at Nelsonville and with his parents moved at the age of 10 to his present farm house in Plover where he lived since. His marriage to Miss Josephine Skibba of Milwaukee took place there 32 years ago.
Surviving are the following step-brothers and step-sisters:
Alvin and Gus Dombrowski;
and Mrs. Martha Kropidlowski of Menasha;
Steve Dombrowski;
Misses Julia and Mary Dombrowski of Milwaukee;
Mrs. Rose Ropella of Crivitz;
Frank Dombrowski, 119 Henrietta Street, Stevens Point.
A sister Mrs. Agnes Pionek (wife of Martin Pionek) of the town of Hull died in 1920:
His father (August Dombrowski) died January 23, 1933 and his mother (Barbara KROPIDLOWSKI ) died about 42 years ago (1894).
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o-clock at the Prais funeral home. Burial will take place in De Pine Cemetery. The body is at the Prais funeral home where it will be until after the time of burial.
