In most records she is listed as Vina but I found her marriage license as Vianna Phy. She married William H Brown in Smith County, Tennessee on 27 Jul 1864.
On the 1850 Census, she is listed as Viana Phy, her parents being Josiah and Nancy Phy. They are living in Jackson County, Tennessee. In this Census, Silas Josiah Phy is married to Nancy Deborah Phillips and have 11 children. Viana is the next to youngest.
By 1880, Nancy is Widowed and lives in Putnam County with 5 of her children ages 38 to 18, the Census showing her born in Georgia. Other Census records say Tennessee. Several of the daughters apparently had not married as they are still listed as "Phy".
Vina's son, Joseph Brown's Death Record, lists his mother as Levina Phy as does the 1870 Census.
