TRANSFER GUIDELINES AND REQUESTS
**************************************************

Per FIND A GRAVE RULES: Transfer requests should be for Direct Relatives within FOUR generations. This means:

*Siblings*
*Parents*
*Grandparents*
*Great-Grandparents*

Any NON-direct relatives,

*Aunts,
*Uncles,
*Cousins,
*etc...

Are NOT required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the ORIGINAL contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer.

Simply having someone in your family tree is NOT grounds for a management transfer request. Also, having the same SURNAME as the memorial does not mean that you are related.

**So, If you are not family, DO NOT ASK.**

Please do not waste my time with out of guidelines Transfer Requests... I am perfectly capable of adding/editing any information to the memorials I manage, thank you!

* Therefore, just because you managed to find your way to this website one time does not mean that you are entitled to request all of the memorials of a certain surname, or from a specific area just because Grandma used to live near there at one time and you might be related.

* Many of you forget in these requests that there are closer family members than you who are related to these memorials.

* Use the Virtual Cemetery feature to keep track of the memorials. This is what it's intended for. You do not need to "OWN" each one of them.

These memorials are not a commodity to be shuffled between people. The individuals memorialized on FIND A GRAVE meant something to someone. This website is a record of those burial locations only. That is the primary purpose, please keep this in mind.

SUGGEST A CORRECTION
**************************************************

I am more than glad to add information if you send it through the EDIT tab. Use the EDIT tab and then use the "Suggest a Correction" link and send it from there.

* Please STATE YOUR SOURCE(S) when sending additional information. Do not send "I think..., or This could be....

* Feel free to add any family photos you have to the memorials.

When the vast majority of these memorials were created the "Relationship Link" feature WAS NOT an option. If there are memorials that you wish to have linked together send accurate Memorial number, Memorial link and Full name.

Links and additional information will be happily added. However, there is a time factor involved. I will edit memorials as time allows.

Be nice in your correspondence. If I did not do this volunteer work, the name you found, would not even be on this website.

On a personal note: I DO NOT transfer any part of my family lines. The vast majority of the memorials entered on here are part of my family.

Contributor Fraud
**************************************************

**IT IS IN BAD FORM TO REQUEST A MEMORIAL TRANSFER, COPY THE INFORMATION, AND DELETE THE MEMORIAL AND ADD IT BACK IN AS YOUR OWN WORK. THUS DENYING THE ORIGINAL CREATOR CREDIT**

* This is becoming an all to frequent occurrence lately. There is time factor involved in creating these memorials and taking the photos for them. Please refrain from denying the contributor's the credit they deserve.
