Guadalupe NIEVES Y APONTE; later used NIEVA Y APONTE,born on 17 December 1879 (according to her baptismal record of 1881 from the Cathedral of Mayaguez) in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of Joaquin NIEVES Y DURAN and Juana Alejandrina APONTE Y VELEZ.
She had five children.
Inocencia NIEVA born on 28 December 1904, with presumably Don Pedro NIEVA Y MANGUAL of Mayaguez.
Three more children with her husband through consensual marriage, Angel QUINONES Y DAVILA of Cabo Rojo,Puerto Rico; Rodulfo (1907-?), Pastora (1910-1943)and Tomas QUINONES Y NIEVA (born abt 1911 - died 1918).
Later, another child, Pedro Nieve/Nieves/Nieva (1918-1921), who I believe to be also the son of Pedro NIEVA Y MANGUAL.
She was widowed in 1914.
She died of TB (tuberculosis) 22 July 1930 in Mayaguez, PR. She was preceded by three of her children; Inocencia, Tomas and Pedro.
According to mtDNA (maternal DNA), her ancestry was of the Native Americans of Puerto Rico, Taino.
She had five children.
