James Gallienne Taylor was born Oct 20, 1824 on the Isle of Guernsey, England and died Dec 15, 1911 in Seward, Nebraska. He married Mary Ann Judd on March 5, 1848 in St George Hanover Square in Middlesex, England. They immigrated to the United States in 1848 and settled in Troy, New York where they began their family. They had seven children and eventually moved to Nebraska where James established a cattle ranch.

Mary Ann Judd Taylor was born Jan 10, 1826 in England and died Dec 15, 1894 in Seward, Nebraska. Their sons James, Jr and Robert Weeks are also buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
