Levi Braden:

Mr. Braden was the son of John and Nebraska (Hicks) Braden. He married Bertha Reynolds on Feb. 2, 1908.

Levi was my Grandfather's (James Perry Braden) brother.

LEVI BRADEN DIES YESTERDAY, RITES TOMORROW:

Levi M. Braden died at 4:30pm Sunday at his home at 708 South 12th Street. Mr. Braden, retired employee of the Missouri-Pacific Railroad. Mr. Braden was 72 years, 1 month and 8 days of age.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm at the Wesley Methodist Church of which he was a member. The Reverend Gerald Gulley will officiate. Burial will be in Knob Prairie Cemetery in Waltonville, Illinois. Friends may call at the Pulley Funeral Home at anytime. At noon Tuesday the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Mr. Braden was born March 20, 1885, in McClellan Township, Illinois, the son of John and Nebraska (Hicks) Braden. He was united in marriage to Bertha Reynolds on May 10, 1908. Bertha survives him.

Mr. Braden was a member of the Modern Woodmen.

Besides his wife he is survived by, one son, Glen, of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Ruth Meek and Helen Browden of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; twelve grandchildren; half siblings, Harrison Braden of Sesser, Illinois; three sisters, Alice Pugh of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Annabelle Fairchild of Waltonville, Illinois and Amanda "Mandy" Lee of Lansing, Michigan.

Mr. Braden was preceded in death by, his parents; one son; one daughter; one brother, James Perry Braden and a sister.
